Bio

Born to an Armenian-Russian family in the USSR and raised in the freshly modern Moscow-city, I moved to France at the age of sixteen.
Carrying as luggage ten years of classical piano studies, I brought my love of music to Paris where I started doing what I really loved - singing, and realized my dreams little by little.

My main bands since 2001 were: MIP-trio (jazz), ExtraExtra! (electro-pop, that's where I discovered the MicroKorg!) and Ink City (rock-metal).

The Doll (also mentioned as The Doll Project) started as a game, after two years of no-project-at-all. Not really motivated to form another band or to compose with my piano, I found some inspiration from the electro sounds I was playing with. After some techno essais, I finally wrote a few tracks sounding like true songs. Basically intended to invite other people to sing on some of these tracks, I called my best friend Anna K. and confided her the songs Lovers in the Mirror and Two faced.

I love all musical styles and don't have any preference because the essence of music is beyond any style or category. In my teenage years, I was deeply influenced by pop, hip-hop and r'n'b, and a bit later - by american rock, neo-metal and electro music. Some of my early years influences (t.A.T.u., Linkin Park) guided my inspiration for my solo project. I'm also a big japanese music fan (Luna Sea, ONE OK ROCK, MUCC, Crossfaith, MONO...) and I studied Japanese because I'm a fan of this country.

Oh... I forgot. I have started this project to please myself and to make the music the way I want. I don't aim at commercial success, I only want my music to be heard. You are free to follow me or not, but if you do, you're welcome, let's make it together!
